European cups: Messi unstoppable! Inter tough time ahead Robben eliminates Fergi's side Lyon win the French Derby

Here we are once again together to look back at the second leg results of the European cups played this week. Lets start with the Uefa Champions League.

On Tuesday the gunners travelled away to the Camp Nou after their proud 2-2 draw at home against Barcelona. Even without the presence of Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas, the gunners picked up courage against one of  best team ever to be existed. Barcelona have been repeating their presence in the semifinals for 5 continuous years now and Pep 's side definitely have the potential to repeat themselves yet again.

To open the score sheet was a brave Bentner who anticipated the defense and toed the ball to the back of the net taking advantage of his long and agile physique. At this stage arsenal were heading for victory but there was still a lot to go till the end of the game and Barca did not forget that.

Here begins the Messi show. With Almunia saving Arsenal in more than an occasion, nothing could he do against an uncontrollable Lionel Messi. The game ended 4-1 on Barca's favor, but who did you think scored all those goals??.....Messi, Messi, Messi and Messi all by himself. What a player...though he  no doubt is, one of the best players, if not The best, he is as humble a child.

Barca meet Italian giants Inter Milan. A game which could no doubt have been a great Champions League Final. Well this is going to be a final. A final for both teams which worked hard to come all this way. Out of 32 teams from all over Europe 4 remain and two legs to decide who could grasp the key to the Finals.

The other 2 finalists are Bayern Munich and Lyon. The Germans side played the Red devils  at the Old TraffordFerguson definitely did convince the team that to capsize the result of the 2-1 away loss was not as difficult as it could seem. In fact Gibson brought the home side 1 up with a lovely assist from Rooney 3 minutes from play and Nani was particularly inspired scoring twice, one including a back heel tap in to the top corner of the goal.

The situation seemed under control until Croatian striker Olic, brought Bayern 2-1 before halftime. Only one more goal was needed for Ribery's teammates to knock  the Red Devils out of the competition and this time Robben did not forgive, with a lovely left footer, giving Bayern the pass for the Semifinals.

The curiosity is that no English team made it this time to the top 4. They will be relying on both Fulham and Liverpool to get home a European trophy since they both made it to the Semis of the Uefa Europa League Cup.

Liverpool overturned the result at Anfield with a lovely display against Benfica, winning 4-1. Goals from Kuyt, Lukas and a double from "El Niño" Fernando Torres. The Reds now play against Atletico Madrid after their draw at home against Valencia.

Fulham had a great game beating Wolfsburg away with a brave 1-0 goal margin. Zamora yet again left his trademark to carry on Fulham's dream to the semi's against finding another German side Hamburg, after they knocked out Standard Liegi.
