Pundits and fans are a little worried about the surplus lot of experienced players in AC Milan's squad. Yet with consistent form, their pockets seem to be bursting with cash as well.
Its' the classical "third and final act" of the player's career. All the big ones yet old want to continue playing(see Ronaldinho), plus maintain their wages even though years pass by they expect their wages never to be brought down. Well when it comes to one player it can be taken as a simple pain in the stomach, though digestible. With Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso, Massimo Ambrosini, Gianluca Zambrotta, long lost Jankuloski, Filippo Inzaghi, Clarence Seedorf, Massimo Oddo and to a certain extent Andrea Prilo in the Milan squad it is "a little more" than just a pain in the stomach. Not to count the huge wages paid for champions like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho. A pretty long list to be taken care of for Vice President and Chief Executive Adraino Galliani as well as the Italian Premiere himself.
No need to worry! The Milan red devil's owner Silvio Berlusconi has an ace in his pocket as it comes to thinking of the club's future. He did it when Ibrahimovic was thought to be unreachable and in such a crisis getting a second star like Robinho too! So why worry?
The idea: Rumours seem to leek of making a complete revolution of the Milan squad. Many will be sold or even exchanged for interesting future prospects. In fact Galliani has put a serious intention of offering an important sum of money for taking half the ownership of Italian future back Andrea Ranocchia who currently plays with Genoa. That is gonna be pretty ironic since the other half belongs none other to their major rivals Inter Milan.
Ronaldinho is one of the possible departures to America that points to the LA Galaxy jersey. His attitude in and outside the field is not convincing neither Coach Massimo Allegri nor the owner Berlusconi. A little sign of relief since the last game against Auxerre in the Champions Leaugue fixture where the Brazilian looked in good shape, adding his name to the scoresheets as well. Although the plan seems clear enough.
Adriano Galliani has already taken a trip to Portugal to the residence of Benfica's President Luis Felipe Vieira. Fabio Coentrao and Cesar Peixoto are the possible candidates for the defensive wings and the talk has already reached a certain level of realisation.
To further boost the names upfornt and subsitute the departure of Ronaldinho whill be a possible welcoming of French star striker Karim Benzema. Currently in Real Madrid, the Frenchman always starts from the bench and could possibly accept an AC Milan offer. If not the other names are Diego Forlan, commanding presence in Athletico Madrid as well as for Uruguay. A possible return of Brazilian star Ricardo Kaka is not at all impossible. Currently Mourinho would like to study Kaka's reactions after his dangerous injury as well as his time off match practice. Of course everyone in Milan is just waiting for his arrival.
As for the midfield Boateng should be confirmed and bought completely from Genoa while eyes to get a top player worthy of the team is still an unfinished hunt.
The moral of the story is "expect the unexpected" when Silvio is around!
